The Runway is where it all began. Back in 2007, Becky and her husband John opened the original Flying Joe (then known as The Flying Bean) right here in this cozy little space. When we moved next door in 2023 to our current café, we saw the perfect opportunity to keep The Runway alive—this time as a private rental venue.

We knew Perrysburg was missing a space like this: somewhere intimate, flexible, and stylish for baby showers, bridal showers, birthday parties, work events, engagements, and more. A place that offers not just a beautiful setting, but exceptional service, exclusive menu options, and your own personal baristas—details no one else around here can quite match.

The past 18 months have been incredible, and this summer, The Runway is getting a glow-up. We're giving it some much-deserved love and transforming it into a moodier, modern twist on Art Deco—think clean lines, rich tones, and intentional details we know you'll fall for.
